The advantages of solar are becoming so outrageous that solar panels are quickly becoming "the new pretty."

The old complaint about home solar panels being "too ugly" to put on the roof is on its way out.

As the benefits of solar keep piling up, it seems that the racks of glittering blue rectangles are growing prettier every day. . .

Sun-Generated Power Kills Your Electric Bill
A good solar installation doesn't just partially lower your electric bill, it kills it completely.

Solar Flips Your Home Value Sunny-Side-Up
If you are upside down on your mortgage, switching to sun-generated power will go a long way towards putting you right-side-up again. Solar panels add stable equity to your home and they make your house many times easier to sell, even in a bad market.

Solar Panels are a Better Bet Than the Stock Market
The more electrical prices go up, the more valuable your solar installation becomes. Just think, when was the last time your electric bill went down?

Panels Have the Power to Replace Nuclear Plants
Approximately 80,000 solar electric homes will create the same amount of electricity as a single nuclear power plant--without the horrific risks.

Solar Electric "Gasoline" May be in Your Future
If you are thinking about shifting over to a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric car at some point, expanding your solar installation could eliminate your monthly gasoline costs--freeing up another large chunk of your cash.

It's MUCH More Affordable Than You Think
Huge federal tax credits, state rebates and "zero money down" options cut the total system cost dramatically. Additionally, a good solar company will be able directly swap out the same money you spend on your electrical bill for panel payments--so you are simply redirecting money you are going to spend anyway.

But what about those "ugly" panels?

"It's funny that people have no problem with unsightly venting pipes sticking out of their roof or satellite dishes hanging off the sides," says Lisa Bruder, an independent solar consultant, "but a tidy rack of shimmering blue panels is somehow seen as 'ugly.'

As home solar panels come to embody the idea of taking back personal power, killing bills, righting upside-down mortgages and saving the earth, the old perceptions are beginning to fall away.

"Right now, we try to place the panels where they are the least visible," says Bruder. "However, I don't think it will be long before proud solar homeowners will get upset if their guests can't see the panels.

Roofs sparkling with blue silicon will look sharp and progressive, while the neighboring barren roofs without panels will seem old, dull and hopelessly out-of-date."

If you live in Southern California and want to seriously considering switching to solar electricity, contact Lisa Bruder to clearly walk you through the process--with no pressure.
